Our office has made a commitment both professionally and personally to being ecologically friendly -- Asheville is our home, and we want it to be as clean and healthy as your smile! Our commitment is obvious when you first step into the office:
Eco-office
Our office has been remodeled using sustainable bamboo flooring and other ecologically friendly materials, and it is cleaned using eco-friendly products.
A virtually paperless environment
With the exception of initial patient forms, we are virtually paperless. All patient charts are computer-based, and any paper documents are scanned and then shredded for recycling. We strive to recycle all our cardboard and paper waste.
Digital x-rays
We use digital x-rays exclusively. For the patient, this means up to an 80% reduction in radiation exposure. For the environment, it means no film developing chemicals are introduced into our waste stream, and lead foil waste is not produced.
As a native of Western North Carolina, Dr. Martin has a strong attachment to the beauty of our home. We strongly believe that it takes individual action to protect and restore the ecology of our planet. Think Globally, Act Locally!
